A lot of lies about robins, from the ‘Lies About Birds’ series. (Scroll down to read the text.) Illustrated with a poor photograph of a paper bird I have made out of old RSPB magazines.
A4 print, mounted (and put in a cellophane bag to prevent escapes).
(Please note that, regretfully, I don’t send work outside of the UK.)

“Robins have degrees in horticulture. They are not allowed to wear the red breast until they have graduated, hence their need to show it off. Passionate about their subject they lecture daily from dawn until dark – i.e. following the hours and habits of keen gardeners. They are, however, more tuneful than the average gardener. They are fiercely loyal to their chosen garden (and gardener), carefully observing all work done and advising constantly, often from the handle of a garden fork. Strongly opinionated, they have been known to fight to the death over the right way to store dahlias. Robin law states that no cultivated space may be termed ‘garden’ unless it is properly overseen by a robin. Robins expect good gardeners to kneel in thanks and turn over the soil for them. Called ‘weeding’ this form of worship has been known for centuries to bring both gardening success and robins. Try it, it works.”
