Restructured Book. Bird Etiquette: The Chiffchaff

£125.00

Bird Etiquette. A restructured book offering tips on dealing with birds in the field.

Made from an old book, cut out and filled with figures created using paper clay I made from the pages cut out of the book. The book was destined for landfill – I hope it doesn’t mind having a new life.

Size: 13cm x 19cm x 3cm.

Regretfully, I do not sell my work outside of the UK.

“It is polite to correctly greet migrating birds on arrival. The chiffchaff is one of the first to arrive, in March. Always neatly turned out in green velvet despite what the early spring weather throws at them, chiffchaffs demand a formal greeting. On first hearing their song, bow and give a gentle round of applause. This will suffice.”
